TexPoint Site Licenses

If your organization or research group has several users for TexPoint you should consider buying a site license. You will avoid the cost of processing separate payments, and will receive a discounted per-user price for more than 10 licenses. The discounts range from 10-50%. Please send email to with the anticipated number of users to enquire about the cost of a site-license. The actual payment for the site license can be made by credit card (using the Paypal link provided above, provide the agreed price and add a note that this is for a site license), or by bank transfer. If you require special paperwork, we may add a processing fee.

A site license agreement is essentially an agreement for us to issue a certain number of license numbers, on demand. The license numbers continue to be per-user, and are personalized with the email address of the user. After we receive the negotiated payment we will need the following information:

• The name or the organization for which the site license applies
• The name and email address of a "site administrator". This is our contact information, and we will also give this information to the site users that encounter problems trying to obtain license numbers.
• The common suffix of the email addresses that are eligible for license keys as part of the agreement.

Using this information, we will set up a license-number distribution center for your site (see demo). The site administrator will receive an email with a URL to the distribution center and instructions for using it. The main points are the following:

• We will assign your organization an ID and a passcode. Only users who know both will be able to generate license numbers, and only if their email address matches the required suffix.
• Users from your site can go to the web page and enter their name and email address to have a license number mailed to them. A copy of the message is mailed to the site administrator, who can therefore keep track of the process.
• A site administrator may decide to not allow uses to get keys directly, but get keys on their behalf, for better control of the process.
• We limit the number of unique email addresses that can obtain licenses to the pre-agreed number.
